The Slave Register

Heron has debated for a while on whether I should be added to The Slave Register.  He never believed that it was necessary for our respective roles or that it would make us any more official.  For us, the truly defining moment was our collaring ceremony.

However, as more of a symbolic gesture, He did decide to go ahead and add me the other day.  Perhaps I underestimated how I would feel once seeing it in black and white.

  1. Assuming that you feel glorious about it, I will tell you Congratulations my friend! Something special about being "official" isn't there? I know that when our officiant declared us Mistress and submissive during our ceremony, I welled up a little.

  5. It's true that the relationship is all and that actions are much more significant than labels (in which respect wearing a collar is the classic combination of action and label). However, a woman will often accept much that she is less willing to acknowledge in words, for which reason a contract, in which what she consents to is specified, can be very powerful, as can photographs. Likewise, a semi-public acknowledgement of her status with a personal identifier like the SLRN, intended to stay with her and allow quick recognition of her status by those in the know, can be very powerful. It says that this is unequivocally what she is and that (always within sensible limits) her physical integrity is no longer her concern and simply doesn't matter any more. So, many congratulations for having the maturity to embrace this status and congratulations to Heron for understanding that to release your worth that he must, as well as cherishing you, open, expose and use you - and make you proud of it.
